Places you can visit
Old Town
Often called the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is located on the Dalmatian coast. It was a very significant centre of trade and a Mediterranean maritime power from the 13th century on. The Old Town was severely damaged by an earthquake in 1667, and again in The War of Independence in the 1990’s, but thanks to UNESCO and the determination of local people it has preserved its world’s famous City walls, beautiful palaces, churches, monasteries and fountains.
Srdj
Srdj is the mountain that towers above the walled city of Dubrovnik. From here you will be able to capture breathtaking photos of views of the Old City of Dubrovnik and the beautiful Adriatic Sea and its numerous islands. Here you can also pay a visit to the Homeland War Museum.
Cavtat
Once an ancient Greek colony named Epidaurus, Cavtat today is a popular tourist destination rich with hotels and private accommodation. The town is full of mostly souvenir shops and good restaurants. Cavtat is also a hot jet-set destination, so don’t be surprised by the many luxury ships and yachts.
